We enjoyed breakfast as a family on a Sunday morning just after opening. It was a delight to hear the staff speaking French to one another, and the food didn’t disappoint, particularly the savory crepe. The portions were a tad small for the price and coffee was less strong than the French fare might suggest. Everything was fresh and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal

I got the Royal Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and the eggs were cooked to pure Benedict perfection one of the best Benedicts I've had in a long time. The service and staff are nice. The portions are smaller than what I'd prefer, but the quality and taste are just so delicious! Definitely coming back for more :)

This place is probably one of my favorites in Solana Beach. They also have a dog-friendly patio, and the staff is very friendly. Loved the atmosphere and that is run by a Frenchman. We had the crepes and quiche, both delicious, well executed and just the right amount. A bit on the high price ($21 for crepe) but worth every bite of it. Oh and their baked goods are amazing!

Great breakfast spot. Seems to be owner operated the chef is the cashier LOL. I had the Parisiens Omelette (Gruyère cheese and ham) along with a coffee - simple but delicious, made and presented with care. Outside seating area is shaded and nice to sits outside to dine. I thought the food quality was excellent and the other dishes I saw at neighboring tables looked great as well. With the visit. Will say it was a bit expensive @ $17 for and omelette but everything is so much more expensive now especially dining out.

Small french cafe with flavorful sweet and savory foods, pastries, and little tarts. Pretty expensive though not unexpected as this is Solana Beach area, but everything tastes delicious. Decoration is pretty minimal, which is fine as we dined outdoors and cared more about food than anything. They serve toasts, sandwiches, crepes (savory or sweet), baked goods, coffees and teas. We tried two savory crepes (3 cheeses and one ham and cheese) and one sweet (strawberry jam + fresh strawberry-cost extra). They were all yummy and we finished the plates. Thes espresso tart is delectable too, although I wasn't too keen on how the dulce de leche tart tasted. Outside dining is provided with small tables with chairs, with some covered by umbrellas. There is barstool seating on the inside of the cafe on the opposite side of the baked goods display. Bathroom is a communal bathroom shared by other stores and a key needs to be requested from the cafe attendant. I'd go back for the taste but would definitely be intimidated by the price.

Came early morning after a doctor's appointment. Hubby ordered the Parisian omelette and greens. I had the Nutella crepe with strawberries. Vanilla latte and green tea finished up our order. Everything was delicious. We left full but not stuffed. Portion sizes are just right. There is a cute assortment of French cooking and snacks available for purchase as well. The gentleman was friendly and helpful.

Delicious French cuisine at Madeline Cafe! Very cute and calm environment, with a nice dog friendly patio. We ordered the egg Benedict with smoked salmon and a mixed platter charcuterie and cheese board. We also got a chocolate croissant which tasted really good, better than expected. The food comes out pretty quickly. Definitely recommend!
